Thanos Gkoumopoulos  
Thanos Gkoumopoulos was born in Athens, Greece. He specializes on shipping litigation matters with focus on marine casualties, salvage, carriage of goods disputes, shipping finance and marine insurance issues. He is handling corporate and business law matters with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and company formation. He has considerable experience in debts, lease and financial disputes and also deals with general civil law issues.
Thanos holds an LL.B from the Law School of National Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also has international educational experience, holding an LL.M in International Maritime Law from Swansea University in United Kingdom, and having attended a Program in International and Comparative Business Law in Hamburg, Germany. He has completed an internship in International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London and has also attended several shipping and business law seminars both in Greece and abroad. He speaks fluently English and German.
